Cyber savvy
A fundamental aspect of preserving wellness is being able to mitigate & counteract what threatens it.
The purpose of this Cyber savvy workshop is to help learners protect themselves both online and offline from psychological engineering that can cause harm.
What is Psychological Engineering?
Psychological Engineering (PE) is the process of manipulating an intended target(s) BVEMPA’s (Beliefs, Values, Ethics, Morals, Principles, Attitudes) whether directly and/or indirectly for a specific purpose. It does not necessarily need to involve malicious motives.
Since what is deemed harmful is subjective, the focus of this workshop is adapted for two audiences;
1) Teams that work in a business environment &
2) Teachers for those in a school environment
The digital age has changed the landscape in which criminals and bad actors operate with them becoming more creative in their methods to manipulate their target(s).
My name is Alfie, I have trained in the following areas including psychology and security, yet my real skills derive from my lived experience, having learned to live & be in a state of hypervigilance derived from my childhood experiences and my time in hostels and prisons as a young adult. My hope from such unsavoury experiences is to empower those I reach avoid becoming victims.
This Cyber savvy workshop is designed to inculcate within participants the knowledge & understanding so as to
- Spot the signs of harmful psychological engineering and
